2026 FC Dallas Team Portraits
THE OBJECTIVE
As part of FC Dallas' 2026 Media Day, the objective was to create a portrait series that seamlessly aligned with the club's campaign identity. From concept to final delivery, every creative decision was made with the intention of producing versatile assets that could support social media and marketing throughout the 2026 MLS season.
THE PROCESS

Although the concept was simple, bringing it to life required some planning before the cameras ever came out. With the help of my talented friend, Michelle Closser, we designed and hand-painted custom backdrops, testing multiple color combinations before settling on a blue base with red paint to create the strongest visual contrast. To ensure both the photography and video had their own distinct look, we built two separate sets and moved each athlete between them throughout the shoot, allowing each medium to be captured in a way that best suites its final purpose.
EXECUTION
Throughout Media Day, every player rotated through both portrait sets, allowing us to capture a cohesive library of still photography and cinematic video assets under multiple lighting setups. This approach ensured the campaign maintained a consistent visual identity while giving the club a wide range of content formats for use across different platforms.
